Audacy files for the cancellation of KDWN-AM’s FCC license, once home to “Coast to Coast AM” with Art Bell. Established in 1975, KDWN played a pivotal role in Bell’s overnight show discussing paranormal phenomena and politics, gaining national syndication in 1993. The station also contributed to Rush Limbaugh’s early syndication growth. After ownership changes, KDWN ceased broadcasting on March 1, 2023. Audacy’s move designates KXNT-AM as Southern Nevada’s primary Emergency Alert System station. Additionally, Audacy cancels the license for KXST-AM, acquired in the Entercom/CBS Radio merger.
