Congresspeople join the fray.

A quartet of friends of broadcasting in the House of Representatives—Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Fred Upton (R-MI), Bill Flores (R-TX) and Marc Veasey (D-TX) (depicted clockwise)—have sent a letter to the president asking that local media be included in the next round of stimuli, including federal ad spending, for businesses victimized by the pandemic. The letter points out the drastic decline in revenues among media, and says, “Without advertising revenue, local media outlets cannot survive.”
