The FCC Commissioners testified last week before the Senate Committee on Appropriations’ Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government.. Chairman Ajit Pai, in defending his 5% cut to the Commission’s budget, said, “it is important for the commission to be fiscally responsible and avoid unnecessary spending. Moreover, I firmly believe that if the FCC refrains from regulatory overreach, we will realize additional cost savings as well as more economic growth—results that benefit everyone.”
