Comings and goings.

Congratulations to John Hoscheidt of WRMJ in Aledo, Illinois on the sale of his radio station to a couple of successful business people with hometown roots. According to John, nothing much will change. The new general manager is a former employee of his, and John will have a consulting role with the station for some time to come. Also, belated congratulations to Indiana broadcaster Russ Kaspar, who sold his big-reach FM station, WSHW (Shine 99), to an area Jesuit higher-education system, which already has several “Shine”-branded non-coms in the region. Mr. Kaspar will continue to operate WILO in Frankfort, as well as a number of targeted websites.

On the other hand, we are sad to report the passing of two prominent broadcasters, both SMRN as well. Mark Lange, who started and operated The Original Company, based in Vincennes, IN, and David Stewart, a Dallas-based group operator, both died in the last couple of weeks.
