For the past few years, the media giant has made regular staff cuts on the same days each year. But this year, Clear Channel is making cuts a few at a time over several weeks.
No matter what the timing, the story is familiar: veteran employees are being replaced by part-timers, internal syndication and voice tracking, or staff members being moved up from smaller markets. Expect the next round just before Christmas.
