BMI’s President and CEO, Mike O’Neill, emphasizes their commitment to fighting for appropriate rates. Additionally, SiriusXM faces other legal challenges: a $150 million SoundExchange lawsuit alleging unpaid royalties due to revenue manipulation, and a class action lawsuit in Washington state accusing the company of deceptive practices related to a concealed “US Music Royalty” fee added to subscription costs.
