Due to demand for another New York City Media Mixer, The Broadcasters Foundation of America (BFOA) has announced its next Media Mixer will take place Wednesday, June 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm ET at the New York City studios of iHeart Media, 125 West 55th St, 12th Floor. The popular event brings together up-and-coming broadcast professionals with their peers and executives and increases awareness of the Broadcasters Foundation charitable mission.
This year’s event will be co-hosted by Angela Yee, BFOA Ambassador and nationally syndicated host of Way Up with Angela Yee, heard in New York on iHeart Media’s Power 105.1. Yee originally came to prominence as co-host of The Breakfast Club. Also hosting will be Pedro Rivera, reporter and anchor for ABC7’s Eyewitness News. Closing out the night will be Long Island singer-songwriter, Camryn Quinlan.
“We are thrilled that there has been such an overwhelmingly positive response to our Media Mixers,” said Tim McCarthy, President of the Broadcasters Foundation. “During today’s dramatic changes in the media landscape, more broadcast professionals — entry, junior, and senior levels — want to get together to exchange experiences and brainstorm for the future.”
McCarthy continued, “We ask everyone in broadcasting who knows about the work we do at the Broadcasters Foundation to please share that with everyone in our business. We want to reach everyone in television and radio, across all markets — large and small– to let them know we are here to help. It is a tragedy if a broadcaster who needs our help doesn’t apply because they don’t know about us.”
BFOA Media Mixers are free, although registration is required. To register, broadcasters can click here. Previous Media Mixers have been held in New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
